Each month, Major League donates a portion of our earnings to a deserving charity—local, statewide, or national. The featured organization is announced monthly, with an optional way to give online and in store. No pressure, just a chance to give back and make a difference.

Mission
Hope House provides safe transitional housing and essential services to the homeless, empowering them to independence.
Vision
Everyone served by Hope House will become actively engaged role models demonstrating self – determination, responsibility, and good citizenship.
Compassion
We serve more than 100 individuals from our most vulnerable population each year. Of those, more than half are children.
Commitment
Nearly every resident who completes the Hope House program successfully transitions to independent living.
Community
Every family we help lift from homelessness has positive effects on public health, resources and community spirit.

Starfish Ministries is a Christ-centered nonprofit based in Central Louisiana, dedicated to serving vulnerable children, youth, and families through compassionate care, practical support, and community connection. Inspired by the story of the starfish—where making a difference for just one still matters—we strive to be a light in the darkness for those in crisis.
Founded by Jessica Lachney, a foster parent and advocate with a heart for restoration, Starfish Ministries was created to stand in the gap for children when they need it most. What began as a foster home has grown into a broader mission that includes:
🌟 Starfish Emergency Foster Home – A safe, trauma-informed space offering short-term care (typically up to 72 hours) for children entering foster care. Children are cared for by a licensed volunteer foster parent while long-term placements are arranged.
🌟 Starfish Book Nook & Coffee Corner – Central Louisiana’s only Christian bookstore, offering faith-based resources and launching a youth employment and mentorship program to help at-risk teens gain job skills, confidence, and purpose.
🌟 Community Support & Outreach – We offer practical help and encouragement to families in need—whether they're navigating foster care, facing a financial hardship, or simply need a hand. Diapers, meals, emotional support, and advocacy are just some of the ways we come alongside parents and caregivers.
🌟 Support for Homeless & Unaccompanied Youth (in development) – We are actively working to build programming that empowers homeless and unaccompanied youth to pursue college or vocational training, and establish stable, independent lives through housing, mentorship, and life skills support.
We also partner with local churches, small businesses, and community members to build a network of support for the children and families we serve. Every effort—whether through donations, volunteering, or mentorship—helps us continue our mission.
